"Tumbleweed" is young Elton John at his most country. This backwoods journey is lead by the stories and caricatures that Bernie Taupin presents in verse, yet for me it is the version of "Madman Across the Water" stands out as a burning gem of pop song craftsmanship, I think it was a great gift to the album as a bookend to "Tumbleweed's" first track "Ballad of a Well-Known Gun".

My zoom made the picture fuzzy which is why that picture is not included. These cookie jars came in brown, yellow and tan colors with cold paint decorations. The tan and yellow colors are harder to find. This lovely piece is in Great condition. I did a full examination and found NO chips, nicks, or cracks. The cold paint that they used on the Eyes, Nose, and Mouth has worn off over the years. It Measures approx. 10 1/2" tall by 8" wide. Estimated Value on the Tan McCoy #0272 Thinking Hound dog with worn or no cold paint remaining is $30.00-$50.00 depending on its condition. Since I need to get rid of a large amount of cookie jars, I am pricing this one at the low end of its value. ____________________________________________________________ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I am helping one of my Local neighbors by selling her cookie jar collection. She is an elderly disabled woman living with her daughter. She has been collecting cookie jars for almost 40 years. Her collection is large and reaches over 600 jars! Ooooohhh! Shiny! I think I remember my mom having one of these in the early 80s -- there's like a waxy kind of perfume inside it, and she'd take this out of her bag and dab some behind her ears the rest of the day. Nostalgic!
