Hellz Bellz Rock The Bellz Jacket (Grey)

Hellz Bellz Rock The Bellz Jacket (Grey)

First off, I wanna give respect for Lanie Alabanza founder of Hellz Bellz, for surviving in the male dominated street fashion industry is no easy feat. And since 2005 she's been holding it down. I particularly like this piece, with plaid trim, and an oversized hood, this cropped jacket is a big city girl's dream.

Silk/wool/boyfriend/fitted, you name it, I have it. But, now that I think about it, isn't three years equivalent to about seventy years in the fashion industry? Shouldn't we be on to something else by now? Perhaps it's time for, say, boleros to come back into style. Call me crazy (it's not news to me) but I think the cropped, clean, collarless jacket perfectly complements almost every cut of shirt, especially worn open (the coat, that is, not the shirt). They're sassy, sweet, vintage, and can be worn as ironically as you please (as in, please don't wear it ironically). Maybe it isn't a menswear blazer, but, c'mon, give boleros a chance!
