Carlo Alessi design, the bombe
The Bombé is still today the most successful tea and coffee set sold by Alessi, and it was Carlo Alessi's (Gravellona 1916) last design. He trained as an industrial designer at Novara, and joined the factory at a very early age. He was the man behind most of the designs that became part of Alessi's catalogues in the 30s and 40s

In its inspiration this Service was intended to comprise a collection of nearly random and typologically ambiguous objects somewhere in the area between crafts and industry.
