Some may call what I'm about to say blasphemy, but I don't care. I really don't like U2 that much and I think they're tragically overrated (and often annoying). For a long time I really loathed the mere mention of R.E.M. Then I realized when this album came out in '92 I was 14 and too young to appreciate it. As I got older, the R.E.M. that was blaring in my ears were songs like Losing My ... For a long time I really loathed the mere mention of R.E.M. Then I realized when this album came out in '92 I was 14 and too young to appreciate it. As I got older, the R.E.M. that was blaring in my ears were songs like Losing My Religion (which I still don't like). Now that I'm older I can revisit this album and truly appreciate it for songs like: Sweetness Follows Star Me Kitten Try Not to Breathe I do like Everybody Hurts but unfortunately its beaten over our heads, ears, and eyes. Thank MTV. Great album all around.

i can't believe i forgot to review this before. sexy and a little creepy, this album was my #1 lp of 2006 by a mile. so far in front it almost won again in 2007. "wolf like me" was one of the early leaks, and that jangling, gallop... i can't believe i forgot to review this before. sexy and a little creepy, this album was my #1 lp of 2006 by a mile. so far in front it almost won again in 2007. "wolf like me" was one of the early leaks, and that jangling, galloping beat is just addictive. you can't help it--it's like "i wanna be your dog" in that way. god, i could probably write a thousand more words on this album, but i won't--just go watch the "wolf like me' on youtube and thank me (and the other people who rec'd this) later.
