The destruction of his nest in 2004 became front page news. The DVD follows Pale Male's incredible story as this powerful bird of prey hunts Central Park's wild creatures, courts his mate on Woody Allen's balcony, builds a penthouse nest, fiercely protects his family from attacking crows, and encourages his baby chicks to fly. It seems like such a pity to tear such a lovely pair of hose but they're so inexpensive you can buy two pairs and save the other ones, after you've torn the pair running from the birds and got blood all over it.

This is a great album. I'm more inclined to categorize it as indie folk. Its a tender, tentatively optimistic and sweet album. Favorite Track: "Sovay".

I've knit one hat. It's this fuzzy mohair thing that I adore (even when it's itchy), but looking at some of the hats on the front of this book I think it might be fun to make another.
