Hank Mobley is probably one of the unsung heroes of jazz. He played with the best of them and has put out some stellar records: Soul Station is one of them.

Hard bop with spacious melodies and a personel that cannot be beat make this album a must-have classic: Freddie Hubbard, Elvin Jones, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Wayne Shorter. Brilliant.

Buy it for the live version of "I've Got You Under My Skin" featuring the Count Basie Orchestra. Count Basie's band gives this song life that tops any other version, period.
