Much to my visual pleasure, the Aussie artist SKAFFS has illustrated his first tale for kids at heart. No wonder it blooms with retina-popping delight and serves up cute critters of the land down under. Here innocence is no reason not to explore the unknown, not an excuse to fear it - those were the days! Plus it has an childlike buoyancy which allows anything to happen under the sun. In an age of troubles, SKAFFS art washes over my eyeballs like a cool breeze and makes bedtimes go down silky smooth.
