I am a hobby photographer since my Dad gave me a camera at age 6 in Pakistan. Now 40 years later (oh, My God, I am getting that young!!?) I continue to enjoy photography with great photos with a Yashica Electro 35 back in the late 70s, to a Minolta Maxxxum 7000i in the late 80's thru now. I was among the earliest digital camera users and still have the Apple QuickTake cameras (some pics are online since 1996 at http://imran.com/ImranAnwar ) in addition to having loved my Minolta Dimage X, as well as the Nikon Coolpix 9500 and now Nikon S6. Some of those pics can be seen at http://flickr.com/imrananwar/ But, nothing, nothing, nothing, I have used has come close to what I got this month. A Nikon D300 DSLR combining the best if SLR, with the best of digital with the best of Nikon. That with the 2 lenses and SB800 flash gun, it has just been an amazingly beautiful device to get. I look forward to many more pictures with this camera and to sharing them with the world. I comparison shopped for quite a while, including Sony's Alpha, Canon and Olympus cameras. No comparison is all I can say!
These make me want to buy shirts with french cuffs just so I can use the cufflinks.
i need one of these! .....just so i can look pro
