Grado SR80 Headphones
I've had these headphones for almost 3 years. They are phenomenal for the price. I put these on for some late nite 'pod listening. These are really meant for "stay at home" music listening. The cord is generously long (almost too long for portable use) and the build quality of these phones are solid. Even better, listen to CD's, vinyl or non-compressed digital music and you'll hear the true quality of these babies. The bass is hard hitting and the highs are crystal clear. The old school design is great too. Best headphones you can buy for the price.

The lyrics are pretty raw and some of them just straight fowardly painfull (just listen to "Turn blue", goddamn that shit is heavy), you just kind of fall in love with the whole sincerity of it. There are no cover ups, no bullshit, just him and his music. (Note: Bowie collaborated on the album and you can definetly hear it!)

Not only do they look great, but they sound great. I've been using them for a year and they never fail to get a question or two about them if someone's never seen them before. When i play them, people are really blown away.

Serious and fun sometimes come together in the songs. When I'm moving a little too slow, I put on a little of this and things pick up really fast.

A buddy of mine has this and recorded a music set with fabulous results. Very nice sound quality. And inexpensive too. Can't lose, in my opinion. I want this thing now.

Handles more delicate classical music well too. Also, they are super-comfortable and lightweight- ideal for endurofest rides and runus. The extralong cord is nice but can get tangled a bit too easily
