Like most good works of art, this book is timeless. The principles inside are as relevant today (if not more) than they work over 75 years ago when it was first published. The principles inside are as relevant today (if not more) than they work over 75 years ago when it was first published. I realize some of the delivery is corny but if you focus on the core principles you will form better relationships--at work and home--and that is the key to success in life. I own and highly recommend this book.

This book offers an insightful, almost mystic philosophy, which makes it more than just an adventure novel. Good blueprint for any revolutionary idealist.

There is a reason so many people love this book - because the main character, Anne Shirley, is one of the best written characters of modern time. This book should be required reading for all elementary school kids.

I need to buy this because my old copy is falling apart from too much use. I usually can't stand to read anything vaguely resembling poetry but I love all of Shel Silverstein's work. Perfect mix of whimsy and humor.

Carlin was one of the most influential peo... I felt I needed to recommend something George Carlin related because he died yesterday. I am a big fan of his ever since I first saw his HBO special "Complaints and Grievances" at age 13. Carlin was one of the most influential people in my life and I regret the fact that I'll never get to see him in person. Brain Droppings was the first of Carlin's books I read and although it wasn't as funny as Napalm and Silly Putty it is still something to be treasured. Carlin would probably hate it if I said rest in peace so I'll end this recommendation in a way Carlin might have and just thank him for the good times.
