Ghostbusters is not your ordinary ghost movie. Some of the ghosts were funny and not at all scary, more like clowns. This movie should never be taken seriously. It's just good clean entertainment with a bit of the unusual. Very funny.

So this may actually be one of the smartest movies I have seen in a while. True, there is a LOT of crap out there, but that doesn't change the fact that this movie is brilliant. Basically, it tells the story of this guy Tony Wilson and how he made Manchester the center of music in the seventies. It is build like a documentary and it's entertaining as hell! Tony Wilson makes so many smart, sarcastic side comments, you can't but smirk most of the time. You get a pretty good idea on the atmosphere of the time, not to mention on the musical scene. Joy Division, The sex pistols, New Order, Happy Mondays.....just to name a few. It's definetly worth watching! (and yes, I jumped up and down like an idiot when they showed Janie Jones from the Clash for miserable 5 seconds).

You down with Wes Anderson or Juno or I Heart Huckabees? Well, this 2001 comedy is something you've, maybe, never seen, but that will fit perfectly into a collection containing those films.

And surprisingly enough it does get me a bit hot-perhaps it is the dedication, the enthusiasm, and the willingness to go all the way for something-that is turbo sexy no matter what gender you are. It is also refreshing to see the boys take it all off and get ogled for a change-pot bellies and all.

nothing gets you in the holiday spirit quite like a classic. its not too christmasy but it is chalked full of funny and eccentric shenanigans that people of every age and walk of life are sure to love.
