  • I'm yet to see a single episode. However, the credible hubbub, coming from everyone I respect online leads me to believe that this is a BBC show worth watching. And first glance, it seems Conchords-esque.

I really do love The Office, and season two was pretty darn hilarious, if I do say so myself. With the introduction of the "that's what she said" joke, it might possibly be one of the most subtly influential shows of our time. Who would've guessed? Anyway, I need to own this... and I would prefer if I owned it in the form of a gift for my birthday... nudge, nudge.

Is very extremely excellent work. Once in awhile the writers haul of with a clunky pop reference (such as the utterance "I shot the sheriff," to which the sheriff replies "no, you shot the deputy), but this is to be forgiven. Sexy, speedy, funny, smart. Watch it.

  • This Season is particularly my favorite. The shenanigans are amazing and I really enjoy Ash in this season. He plays a bit of a better forerunner. If you enjoy con artists or British humor, you will very much enjoy this show.

David Tenant (swoon....be still my heart!) contines his run as the Doctor in Season 3 of my most favorite show of all time! Freema Agyeman is his new companion, Martha Jones (she is also a doctor, although an Earth type of doctor). For those who grew to know and love the character of Rose Tyler (played by the wonderful Bilie Piper) as the Doctor's companion it would seem she would be hard to replace. The character of Martha Jones is different than Rose, but equally as well. Freema Agyeman is a wonderful actress and does a great job portraying Martha. More aliens and time travel abound! Also, another favorite actor of mine, John Simms (Sam Tyler on Life on Mars, another brilliant must see show) plays a villian in a few episodes. Check this out and see why it is my new favorite show of all time and the best thing on tv.!!

I don't think the DVD has been released here in the US, but keep your eyes peeled for it when it does and if it does. The plot is that soon after local entrepreneur Ripley Holden (Morrissey) opens his arcade in his beloved home town of Blackpool, a murder investigation makes tears at the fabric of his personal and professional lives. This is a brilliantly acted and addictive TV show and is basically a mixture between the Singing Detective, Coronation Street and Cracker. A must-see!!

The compelling Cracker is among the more exciting British mystery series from the 1990s, featuring a hero so flawed he's just as likely to end up inside a jail cell as outside chasing bad guys. Robbie Coltrane, perhaps best known for playing Rubeus Hagrid in the Harry Potter movies, is unconventional psychologist Eddie "Fitz" Fitzgerald, a rotund teacher who exhorts students to look within their dark hearts and who gleefully embraces his own addictions to gambling, booze, and nicotine. The episodes in the first season are "The Mad Woman in the Attic", where a young woman is found murdered on a train, and the only suspect has amnesia. The next one is "To Say I Love You", a Bonnie & Clyde story where two young lovers go on a murder spree, and the last episode is "One Day A Lemming Will Fly", where a young boy is murdered and the only suspect is the boy's English teacher, who is also believed to be homosexual. All episodes are 2 hours long, so you can expect to spend a good 6 hours with this DVD set. Cracker is one of the sharpest, wittiest TV show and Robbie Coltrane is amazing. Season 2 and 3 are also available through Amazon.com. Do not miss!!!
