NASA/ART: 50 Years of Exploration by James D. Dean and Bertram Ulrich

In an act of supreme historical timing, the NASA Art Institute was established shortly after NASA itself in 1958. This celebratory book is a compilation of the artistic efforts to record mankind's exploration and imagination of space. Included within are works by Alexander Calder, Nam June Paik, William Wegman, Mike and Doug Starn, Vija Celmins, and Annie Leibovitz, concluded by the afterword of science fiction writer Ray Bradbury.
