Noah's Ark

Noah's Ark

Eclectic and quirky atmosphere..."quirky production techniques, with some of the singing filtered in such a way that it sounds like a radio playing in the next room, or even as though it were recorded on an eighty-year-old tape machine and sown together with crystal-clear harmonies along with the usual odd sounds, were present on the debut and continue with even greater effect on the follow-up. More attention is given to stripping away the unnecessary components and adding to atmosphere, as well as the album's large-scale structure. And I've already mentioned the sisters' have shown more confidence in utilizing their Bjork-like vocal style to greater effect. If you like CocoRosie's debut, or are into more eccentric, experimental sounds, you will LOVE this album."
