The Morning Benders. I've seen them like 4 times, but only because they seem to open for every cool band I ever see at the troubadour. Over time, however, I've really become quite fond. In the past, they were just something fun. However, with this album, they become something serious. The first single, excuses, is easily going to go down as one of the best tracks of the year.

Their ingenious electronica-based rock and intensely intimate lyricism had me hooked instantly. Kind of Coldplay-ish.
