Bringing Down the Horse: The Wallflowers
This is my favorite Wallflowers album. Early 90s rock with catchy songs and good hooks. Almost every song on here's really solid. There's only two songs on here I wouldn't recomend: "Josephine" and "I Wish I Felt Nothing". Other than that, the whole album's great. I hadn't heard this album in a while, but looking through my iTunes I saw it and threw it on, and it still sounds really fresh. Mid-tempo rockers mostly, but delivred with passion and good musicianship.

One of my favorite albums to listen to when I travel. Especially on am track to up state New York. I hear she had displeasure with fame and the music industry but we know we can't stop a genius, even if she or we try.

I dont know if you heard yet or not, but Soundgarden is back together! Yes, after a 12 year hiatus, one of the greats from my youth is back.So, i think it's time to dust off their old records. This is my favorite.

Pitchfork calls it the single best album of the 1980s and it's probably hard to disagree. It's, perhaps, the most legendary albums from one of the most legendary indie rock bands of all time

I'll put it this way, my mother had some seerious problems with me listening to this when it first came out. However, it was catchy a memorable enough that I recently bought another copy of it on iTunes. When you have Gin and Juic... The biggest problem with browsing through old music is that you realize you still love it. Sure, I haven't listened to this alum in years. But, I'm sure I could sing every word. For a long time I really loathed the mere mention of R.E.M. Then I realized when this album came out in '92 I was 14 and too young to appreciate it. As I got older, the R.E.M. that was blaring in my ears were songs like Losing My Religion (which I still don't like). Now that I'm older I can revisit this album and truly appreciate it for songs like: Sweetness Follows Star Me Kitten Try Not to Breathe I do like Everybody Hurts but unfortunately its beaten over our heads, ears, and eyes. Thank MTV. Great album all around.

A great indie album. There was a lesser debut before this, but when Electra picked the album up, it became their major label debut. A good solid album of mid 90s indie rock.

Deluxe was a good indie rock record, but Friction, Baby is a great record. There are some great songs on here, from "King of New Orleans" to "Desperately Wanting", the big hit that pushed them into the minds of the mainstream. G... They weren't a "One Hit Wonder", but this album did prove to be their strongest. The songs are catchy and the guitars are really strong. "El Distorto De Melodica" could be as distorted and heavy as anything off of the Matrix sou... They weren't a "One Hit Wonder", but this album did prove to be their strongest. I have such fond memories of this album. We'd play it all the time, and there's such a range to the songs, musically. "3am" and "Push" were big alt rock hits at the time, but "Long Day", and "Girl Like That" share the same hooky... I have such fond memories of this album. "Busted" opens with a blistering riff and keeps going. "Hang" ends it on a more mellow note. The album swings between catchy guitar driven songs, and more angsty numbers.

Songs run form popy to rockin and hit so many tones in between. Really a classic Tori album.
