One of my favorite albums to listen to when I travel. Especially on am track to up state New York. I hear she had displeasure with fame and the music industry but we know we can't stop a genius, even if she or we try.

There was definitely a summer where this was the only thing I could listen too. It's filled with nothing but pick-me-up, happy-go-lucky songs that are perfect for the beach or just dreaming about being there.

I'm not afraid to say I like Jack Johnson... I mean, I like Jack Johnson. Especially this album. He's certainly falling of my radar with his newer stuff, but this one will always stroke a chord in my heart.

I LOVE A Fine Frenzy. I've been to see her in concert and I go through periods of listening to this CD obsessively. I've downloaded her live tracks off iTunes, too. These guys are great. They incorporate music with everyday sounds that blend in together so perfectly. Their sound is something like dirty guitar noise and pretty guitar noise...garage sounding shoegaze music for the soul!

...because many of the best Cure songs are b-sides, in pre-download days these rare and b-side tracks were difficult to find, and because of there is a great version of "Purple Haze" on this collection.
