  • It's hilarious that I was cleaning my room and picking up a whole bunch of old movie ticket stubs (I like to keep them) and thinking I've got to figure out a better way to store them. Viola! Perfect timing.

Editorial Reviews Product Description Did you keep a diary during your teen years? Do you have a box of loopy-cursive, never-sent notes to your crush? Or some overwrought poetry about your bleak existence? An unfinished rockopera? Well, you’re not alone, and in Cringe, you’ll find a reason to unearth your adolescent angst and have a good laugh—at yourself. A compilation of real teenage diary and journal entries, letters, songs, stories, and lists—along with biting commentary, background, and self-examination from the now so-called grown-ups who wrote them—Cringe offers a voyeuristic glimpse at the roller coaster of youth in all of its navel-gazing, soul-searching, social-skewering glory. Cringe -worthy excerpts include Really bad poetry: I lumber like the sad clown with the hope that my performance might make you smile. Yet I am a flickering star over a cloudy sky. Blush-inducing pep talks: OK. It’s the end of February. No more kidding around! You have to go out with someone! You haven’t gone out with someone since the summer! At least fool around with someone! Come on! You’ve got it in ya! Questionable motivations: My mom is madly in love with her boyfriend. . . . Cool! He’s so rich . . . I could get a lot out of this— vacations, a car—if he buys my mom one + she gives me hers—psyche! And rages against the world at large: I am living in a dream world. Wishes are a bunch of crap. They never come true so what’s the use of even wasting your time hoping they’ll come true when they don’t? Inspired by the New York–based reading series of the same name, Cringe will help you realize that being a grown-up isn’t all that terrible. At least you don’t have to worry about who’s going to be at the mall anymore.

Screenwriters rarely develop a distinctive voice that can be recognized from movie to movie, but the ornate imagination of Charlie Kaufman (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation) has made him a unique and much-needed cinematic presence. In Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, a guy decides to have the memories of his ex-girlfriend erased after she's had him erased from her own memory--but midway through the procedure, he changes his mind and struggles to hang on to their experiences together. In other hands, the premise of memory-erasing would become a trashy science-fiction thriller; Kaufman, along with director Michel Gondry, spins this idea into a funny, sad, structurally complex, and simply enthralling love story that juggles morality, identity, and heartbreak with confident skill. The entire cast--Jim Carrey, Kate Winslet, Kirsten Dunst, Elijah Wood, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Wilkinson, and more--give superb performances, carefully pitched so that cleverness never trumps feeling. A great movie. --Bret Fetzer

  • Such a classic from the 80's...can't really say anymore than that...well I can. It was revolutionary and was a tremendous story. Harrison Ford was obviously amazing.

I am no trained photographer, but I could probably get hired to photograph somebody's wedding with the way pictures come out on this camera. Point, shoot, and voila - you have some beautiful lighting, composition, saturation, everything. It's almost like it does all the work for you. Not too expensive for the quality you get - it far surpasses any point-and-shoot!

It is easy to throw in a travel bag and hit the open road. It is simple and easy to use and you get back tangible prints. I am a big fan of photo albums and this is a great way to supplement the hundreds of digital photos you'll take with a special real life, tangible album for your bookshelf.

This is a great one time use camera because you can order regular tangible prints when you process it and you get a CD with digital prints. It is easy to tote around. It is nice to have tangible prints for photo albums (how archaic, I know!) and the convenience of digital as well. Perfect for tossing in a travel bag.
