Western Garden Book from Sunset

I lived in SF for two years, and in that time I had some of the best Vietnamese food and burritos I've ever had. Joe Gillis (William Holden), bankrupt screenwriter, hides from car repossessors in the garage of a deserted-looking mansion which proves to be the grotesque home of Norma Desmond (Gloria Swanson), retired silent screen star. This movie won 3 Oscars, had another 13 wins an 13 nominations... So who can argue with that? It is a great, great movie (10 stars out of 10)
