The version I have is a slightly modified PPX3 which is their base model. This one is a step up and takes 6SN7 tubes instead of the cheaper 6CG7 mine takes. It's expertly constructed and it drives headphones (even the HD600's) very well. I have never had any problems with it. If I did, I know the support is excellent.

Every time I move my mouse around, it sends static through the headphones. Insert this puppy into a USB port, select it as your audio output device, and set the volume LOW, because it has some serious gain. You'll be listening to glitch-free audio in no time. Plugged right in to my ubuntu linux system and worked without a hitch. This is much cheaper than the HeadRoom Total BitHead Headphone Amp and it did everything I needed.

I've had to sell the amplifier I was using with my upright bass, because it only worked on 220v and not 110v, but also because I found that an electric bass amp doesn't cover the lows needed when playing a 5 string acoustic bass.
