This was the fourth carrier that I tried--the first three being a wrap, a pouch, and the Baby Bjorn. It is wonderful! The weight of the baby is carried on your hips rather than your shoulders, so you can carry the baby for hours. My son is a year old, and I got this at about six months. I can clean house, prepare dinner, do yard work, and shop easily. We're still working on perfecting the back carry, but I know it'll be great when we get comfortable with it. It holds up to 40 pounds, so we'll be able to use it for at least a couple more years. The only downside is that you can't face the baby outward. My son occasionally gets restless when he can't see what's going on.

The sport version of the Ergo Carrier is a great improvement on the basic carrier. It has better back support, and comes up just a bit higher in the back to better support baby.

I personally didn't love the name, but they are free spirits and so I felt that this sleepy wrap would be perfect for their progressive/hippie lifestyle and new child. The wrap can be used in a variety of ways allowing the child to be carried close to the chest, on the back, and in a variety of positions that make baby and parent feel secure and comfortable. From reading about this product, the testimonies on the website and all the pictures of happy customers(parents & children) was enough of a reason for me to get this for my friend and her new baby. I also liked that this product can grow with the child (up to 45lbs in some cases!) and also has versatility.

My youngest, now 11 months, will sit happily in it for hours and I regularly ditch the buggy in favour of the sling, so much easier when shopping! He's on a level with me and everyone else and we can interact as we go, not to mention not having to negotiate stairs and narrow doorways. Also highly recommended to put little one whilst chasing toddler at the park!

actually doing anything around the house is easier, or should i say, possible, now that i can carry my newborn around in one of these. she's very comfortable in it, too.

I'm sold on using just one sling instead of three different carriers to get my family from point A to point B. What is even greater than the eight different positions you can wear you child in is that this carrier is all fabric and doesn't take any funny yoga moves to get your kid strapped in.
