I adore Polish pottery. John and I received a bunch of it as wedding and engagement gifts, and use it daily. It bakes well and stands up to a lot of abuse. Plus, it's pretty, handmade, and you can buy it in a wide range of patterns and colors.

One of my favorite wedding shower gifts was from a friend who was also a Pampered Chef peddler. This pizza stone crisps a pizza crust to perfection and is also great for a variety of breads and pastries.

I just like these because they look pretty damn cool, but there are other advantages. Silicone bakeware always retains its shape and doesn't absorb food odors. Further, it's easy to clean.
