Holiday Inn Silom Bangkok, Thailand

Holiday Inn Silom Bangkok, Thailand

Stayed here when in Bangkok, the room is really nice, and the staff all know english and are very friendly and will help you find your way around the city and also things to do during your stay. The interaction feels very personalized. Also in a very good location, can walk to where the boats are and go to see the Giant Reclining Buddha and Golden Palace.

  • Twisting crime drama full of Thai-influenced culture and Buddhist theology. A very interesting read.

I think seeing sights is one of the most important ways we an connect with our world, our past, our present and our future. I have traveled many places and will start recommending cool places as well. Places you can learn from. Here, Brits, Aussie's, Dutch, Japanese, Burmese, and Americans can learn from the ugliness humanity can offer to the shinning stars the burn bright in between cruelty while learning about a war that should never diminish from the active memories of humans. I think this is a must see trip, cost about 90 dollars, not including travel costs, lodging, etc. This is more than a trip, its a dive into our past so we can never repeat it again--as well as a reminder of how humans always survive even though times look bleakest! Lets start journeying to the ends of the earth, and learn about ourselves and our strengths and weaknesses as humans in the process... To learn more about the atrocities committed, google, "Death Railway" "Burma Railway" "BRidge on the River Kwai", hope to see you there! Look for my future vacation recommendations to include.. Germany Pompeii and Naples Italy Normandy France Monaco The Valley of the Kings in Egypt The Great Pyramids of Egypt Phonetia in present day Lebanon ANother exciting trip to Israel and Jerusalem Moscow and st Petersburg Russia Ireland in its entirety Back to my other home of England south Africa a trip to Queensland Austrialia Mazatlan Macchu Picchu in Peru And other exciting places to recommend! Remember those early web 2.0 days when all these interesting designs popped up everywhere, I mean it wasn't even contained on Flash driven design one-offs--it was everywhere--new edgy design sprouted up on to everything, toys, bikes, cars, political posters, even on credit cards. I guess that the internet wasn't a permeant enough arena for the big ideas. "YouWorkForThem" features a lot of the designer responsible for that wave of irrepressible expression, they even put out a zine, "Sentence", a collaboration between the Minneapolis studio and the Bangkok studio. And Guess what? It looks and feels like a designer web site, made of paper and ink. :)
