Next time I go to NYC, this will be one of my first stops! For those of you who have never heard of Manitoba's let me tell you why you should go. First of all it is owned by the fantabulous Handsome Dick Manatoba. Who is this Handsome Dick you speak of you ask? Let me school those of you who are not in the know. Handsome Dick is the singer for the iconic NYC band the Dictators, as well as DJ extraordinarie on my only reason for listening to radio, the Underground Garage on Sirius Satellite Radio. Manitobas is also supposed to have a kickin' jukebox! What else do you need to know? In the words of Handsome Dick, "oh, forgetaboutit"!

Each year I try to create a special embroidered item for birthdays of the girls in my Mardi Gras Krewe. Each is a little different but the same. This year I've been giving them these towels with the beautiful mylar mermaid. I've had so many compliments on them that I decided to list a few in our Etsy Store. This is my Debbie Mermaid.
