I loved how my cuticles felt while using it. This salve lasted forever on my hands/nails, even after several hand washes during the day, and they continued to feel soft and moisturized! The lemon/citron scent is truly lovely. It’s not too lemony; just authentic enough with a touch of feminine sweetness. It felt like silk on my fingertips and then it disappeared ever so gently into my skin with out feeling greasy or sticky. The label color coordination with the scent of the product is clever as well. I just had a blast having this product and it made me smile every time I opened it up! Once the product is finished, you can re use the tin to organize your paper clips, tacks, or precious coins! P.S. It worked so nicely that I snuck it onto my very dry ankles and bam! -- my ankles felt so soft.

Many cosmetic lines are featuring more and more beautiful works of art within the actual makeup palette, and this one is truly a stand out creation. This is part of the Lancôme Maharani Jewels Collection 2008. The image etched into the powder is a beautiful elephant, as an ode to India’s culture. The brilliance is that each of the 3 colors in the actual elephant is a beautiful shade that is part of the bronzer. There’s a light pink, deep shimmery gold and deep reddish/orange. The elephant itself is actually “raised” a bit for a nice 3 dimensional effect. The outer compact is a nice Tortoiseshell-brown which works nicely with the theme for this collection. I used my bronzer brush to swirl all the colors together and just loved the flattering, healthy glow effect it gave me (swatch above gives an idea of what it looks like together). This bronzer had just the right amount of shimmer, the color had very good staying power and best of all, this will work with all skin tones since the three shades work to pick up and enhance all undertones. For those women who have very dark brown complexions, this can serve as a very nice highlighter on brow bones and cheek bones used in conjunction with your blush. This just made me smile every time I wore it. Truly a treasure and will also be a collectors item for sure.

They are Uber Chic wet wipes for adults – and they were super effective. Before my shower I would pull out one of the rectangular-shaped wipes and use the textured side (with several rows of exfoliating granules built into the wipe) and applied it to my major trouble spots – my elbows and knees. It should be noted that the textured side is not painfully rough, but it is very abrasive, and not as wet as a normal wet wipe. This is what makes it a good choice for those who have skin that is not very sensitive and prefer a more aggressive scrub. The fragrance is a pleasant pink grapefruit that does not linger. I was very impressed with how easily the wipes got rid of the dead skin and made these areas feel nice and soft. I then turned it over to the softer, buffing side of the wipe and applied that in the circular motion for a minute or two. When I was finished, my skin looked much, much, better, and after using them several times a week for several weeks, my skin was absolutely glowing. While the container itself is a tad bulky for travel, I simply put them in a zip lock bag for packing, and then kept the container at home or the gym. Just remember that since they are a drier wipe, it’s essential that you remember to close the lid completely. I love innovation, effectiveness, and the bright pink spoke to me as well. This is a winner in my book. Note: This is NOT a product for those with sensitive skin!

If you are looking for a bold, striking lip that’s not too dramatic or showy then this is the color! The formula itself is very pigmented (no sheerness here) with a soft satiny shine, without shimmer. The texture was smooth, and was very moisturizing for my dry lips. This is a long lasting formula, so the lasting power was fantastic and also worked well in humid weather for me. It is non-scented. This color is a dynamic medium-toned pink that will work well with many skin tones, best up to a Gabrielle Union shade. The packaging, as with all of the Dior products, is exquisite, glamorous and yet still simple. It’s the classic deep blue Dior’s cased with a touch of silver. This is simply a great lipstick that looked gorgeous on me!

It goes without saying that the design of this eye palette, like many of the YSL palettes, is exquisite, unique and truly beautiful. But it doesn’t just stop there -- the colors themselves are wonderful and perfect for summer. There are 4 colors in the palette which were inspired by various African terrains. There is a deep chocolate brown (with a touch of eggplant), a true orange (with a touch of rust), a medium creamy yellow shade and a beige shadow. The brown and orange colors are bold, but were buildable if I wanted a more dramatic look. None of the colors has shimmer, they were silky and easy to blend and were a pleasure to play with and combine. The lasting power of the shadows was also good. I didn’t think I would gravitate towards the orange shade as much as I did. The orange was very flattering and not shocking or over the top in any way. I loved combining the orange all over the lid in a light layer with the chocolate in the crease and as an eyeliner on its own or over my eyeliner pencil. I also liked using the yellow and beige for a softer look. These shades are varied enough with darks, brights and neutrals that it will work with all skin tones as well. There is a lot of shadow in the pan and each is very pigmented. This combined with the beautiful limited edition palette design makes it definitely worth the price.

I get to try a lot of skin creams because of what I do and while a lot of ones that I’ve chosen have worked well, Zelens Skin Science Cellular DNA Protection Day Cream is one of the few that I’ve used and woken up to significantly better skin! Zelens Skin Science Day Cream was very nice to use. It absorbed into my skin very well, and was extremely hydrating, but not at all oily or greasy. The cream felt slightly exfoliating when I applied on my skin, and within days my skin was simply smoother, softer and little discolorations in my skintone were evened out. I found that after several weeks of using this along with the eye cream (see review above) I felt confident enough to wear significantly less makeup while I was out and about during the day! This is a product that is absolute luxury, effective and worth the price without question. Yes, I have found an eye cream that has seriously made me rethink the entire eye cream category. That’s because with Zelens, from the first moment I looked at the box knew I was going to have a special experience. The box actually looks like it’s been created for an expensive piece of jewelry or designer wallet, with its deep green and brown coloring. When I pulled the satin ribbon, a velvet pedestal slid out which the cream sits on. The jar is a beautiful frosted green glass with a silver medallion hanging from the side. Even better, the cream itself is pure luxury. I loved the texture, which is gel/cream hybrid that’s light and velvety. It also has a very nice fresh smell. I was very happy to also learn that over half of the ingredients are natural, such as Green Tea, and Vitamins A, and C. The results are what amazed me next. Within 1 day of using the eye cream I saw a marked difference in the puffiness around my eyes, the lines were completely smoothed, my skin was hydrated for the entire day and the whole area looked brighter. As much as I loved it, I do have to say that I preferred using this in the evenings before bed to in the mornings before my concealer, as sometimes I would get a little residue as a result of the mix. I used it without fail every day for several weeks, and have now completely fallen in love! Extra Info: This product line was created by Mr. Marko Lens, a plastic surgeon and international authority on skin cancer and skin aging. The packaging is designed by Anouska Hempel (who designed The Hempel Hotel and Blakes Hotel in London amongst others).

The Noire Palette is a lovely palette for a “cool face”, featuring periwinkle blue shadow, pearly pink lavender eye shadow and a cool pink blush. The palette itself has a lovely, unusual design of silver and white flowers and vines with a black background. The black felt on the white and silver is a nice touch The magnetized palette opens up to 3 eye shadows and one blush. No mirror included in the palette. The pans can be taken out and exchanged for the individual Stila eye shadow and blush pans. The top left eye shadow in the Noire Palette is a light pearly pink. I found this to be beautiful for highlighting. The top right eye shadow is a periwinkle blue, which I tended to blend with the bottom left eye shadow which is a sparkly black that was excellent for a smoky eye look. The blush in the bottom right spot is a bright pink. When I used the periwinkle I tended to layer this one more heavily as it is not as pigmented as the others. It read a little more blue/grey on my skin and was very pretty. I tended to use the glittery black quite a bit as both an eye shadow and it also made a nice, soft charcoal liner for a daytime appropriate but smoky look. The blush is actually the winner of the palette. It’s a bright but deep pink color. It looks a little bright in the pan but goes on really sheer, natural and flattering. It just looked like pretty flushed pink cheeks which really complimented my skin tone and not bright pink obvious blush. Because the blush is very pigmented I used it with a light hand. The cost is also a great deal as opposed to buying eye shadow and blush pans plus palette or compact costs. This palette will work best up to an Iman complexion.

This particular product is the perfect marriage of product innovation, luxury, and out of-the-box thinking in terms of product packaging. L.U.C.I EYES light color in motion duo eye shadow in Apricot is a brilliant shade. It looked so vibrant in the “shell” that it is encased in. As a matter of fact, the shell itself actually has a heft to it such that you really feel like you have picked up an actual shell on the beach! I also thought the peal in the upper left hand corner is a brilliant touch and the shell like detail on the outside of the shell case is just beautiful. As for the shadows themselves, I could do nothing but marvel at how the apricot when applied on my lid became this lovely mix of bronze, pink and copper. I often wore just this shade because I was so happy with it. But of course I wanted to try the white photonic shade that comes with it too at times. With just a touch of the white shade, the apricot became, pearly, iridescent yet not too bright. The way the light reflected off of the shade was amazing. I loved that essentially you can get three different shadow looks from this compact. I could use the apricot alone, the white photonic eye shadow over it, the white photonic shadow alone (or as a highlighter on the brow bone) or sometimes I would get a completely different color by putting the photonic shadow on first, and then the apricot! This color will work with all skin tones, but if you are darker than a Serena Williams shade, this will work better as a highlighting shade, mixed with deeper coppers and browns. This is truly an innovation in color cosmetics, and a definitely collector’s item for the packaging as well.

I am one of these women who is not great at home maintenance for many beauty services (manicures and brow shaping are the two that I always need to go to a professional for!). When I saw how cute and compact this box was, I figured this could possibly improve the way I maintain my brows in between appointments. Well, I loved it! It was so easy to use, with small (about 2”in long), yet still effective tools and products that really made my brows look polished enough that several people commented on how great my brows looked --even when I was still a few days overdue for a shaping! The box contains a wax (in an innovative retractable mini shelf on the bottom of the box that opens with a soft touch of a finger), which helped hold my brows in place without looking greasy. On the top shelf the box contains 2 shades of powder, tweezers and a mini brush for the powder. Brown Sugar’s powders are a dark chocolate brown with a bit of red, and a lighter beige/taupe shade (which you can mix to create a lighter brown if needed). The brow powder is very pigmented, very fine, and applied smoothly. It disappeared right into my brows. Using the mini brush and powder, I filled in the ends of my brows, and which still looked very natural, yet glam. This really enhanced my overall look, especially on those mornings when I didn’t have a lot of time to apply much makeup. While it’s amazing to have such tiny tweezers included (and they did a nice job), some of you may prefer to use these just for traveling and continue with your normal-sized tweezer at home for increased control. This brow box is such a special little treat, but also an important part of my beauty arsenal now!

I think this may be one of the prettiest shades in the whole Fafi collection as a matter of fact. Hipness gave me a natural, coral/peachy-pink glow (no shimmer) on me. It's very pigmented, so all I needed was a light swipe of the blush (with my mac 129 brush) to give me a beautiful glow. This is truly a beautiful blush with a nice, silky texture, making it very blendable. Although it is listed as a frost, I didn’t see any shimmer on my skin (but it does appear there is a small amount in the pan). What I loved about this shade is that it really brightened up my face without calling attention to the fact that I was wearing blush. This will work best up to an Oprah shade. Since this is limited edition, you may want to double up on this one!

It’s named as such for the herb, horsetail which strengthens and repairs nails. During the winter my nails are always splitting and breaking, no matter what. After just a week of using this nail treatment (I could apply it over bare nails or nail color which was great), I noticed a real difference in the strength of my nails, and how shiny and healthy they always looked. By the end of the month my nails looked better than they ever had. Another great benefit of Horsepower was it kept my nail color from chipping but it didn’t clump up, dull or change the color on my polish. Butter London’s nail products are “3 Free Nail Products”, which means they do not contain harmful chemical products. There is no Formaldehyde, Toluene or DBP. Note: There is still a distinct nail polish smell, but I did notice that it diffused much quicker than the average nail polish. Note: This is a treatment that should be used every 7 days, removed and then reapplied. This should be done for one month, in a “one month on, one month off” fashion.
