Seikisho Mask White
I used this mask from Japanese brand Sekkisei at least once a week, and was very happy with the results. This is a “peel off” mask which did an excellent job at clearing out blackheads in the t-zone area once it dried. I got the best results using this after a shower or steaming my face, so that my pores were open. The mask griped firmly onto my skin, (so this may not be a good choice for those of you with sensitive skin). Also very unique to this mask is the color – it goes on black. This product delivered visible results. It cleaned my skin very well, and my face is certainly more clear and softer after using this mask on a regular basis.

Sekkisei was one I was not previously familiar with, but I’m really pleased with my first outing. Although it’s labeled a “lotion”, its consistency is that of a slightly thick water, which I applied with a cotton pad. After using this lotion each day after cleansing in the AM and PM for over three weeks, I could see my skin getting brighter and clearer each day. I had an amazing glow that has made me never want to give this product up. It made my skin feel smoother, so soft and clean/refreshed. A truly lovely luxury for the skin!

I love experimenting with darker shades, and this was right up my ally. Just one coat of CHANEL Blue Satin gave me a metallic navy blue – which was actually very nice and I did wear the color that way on occasion. Two coats created a deep indigo with a very slight amount of shimmer, which I really loved (the shimmer isn't as noticeable on the nail as it is in the bottle). It’s a fun-yet-sophisticated and a little offbeat look. Note: Another fantastic combination is one coat of CHANEL’s Blue Satin with One coat of CHANEL Azur's (review coming soon) twinkly sky blue on top. The iridescent sparkle brings out the best in Blue Satin. The Azur color added much more shimmer for a different look and made the blue satin look more blue instead of a dark indigo/almost black shade. I received many compliments on this combination! The texture of CHANEL polishes are thicker than most, the application was amazing and the staying power is incredible. It covers almost completely in one coat. It's also unbelievably glossy, which I love. This will give a dramatic look to fair skins and will really complement darker brown skin tones for a sexy and sophisticated look

I recently wanted to try a different look and had my hairstylist put in some extensions to give me more length, in the same curly texture and color as my natural hair. After washing several times a week I used the detangler before using a diffuser and finger combing. What impressed me is that after using this product, my hair looked just like it would after I would have my hair done at the salon. My extensions looked great and were very shiny (as was my natural hair, which did not get sticky or feel heavy from this product). The detangler smelled incredible and I also used a small amount a few times a week to freshen my extensions (which I’ve noticed can pick up smells). This is a product that truly delivers.

I used this daily on my relaxed hair and on my extensions and I was very pleased with the nice shine, no oily or greasy film (or product build up) and a nice fragrance. In addition, it made my natural hair very soft and prevented frizz on my ends of my weaved hair. This is also fantastic for those of you who have braids or on temporary extensions (e.g. clip ins). I can’t wait to try more from this line.

It was really the perfect nude lip color for my skintone. 5N is a brown with mauve undertones that gave me a very flattering nude lip without looking “washed out”. This color has a lot of pigment but yet a level of sheerness which will make is a wearable deep color for skin tones that are lighter than mine as well (Think Eva Mendes to Nia Long). The wear is excellent and silky smooth going on. As always, I love the amazing vanilla scent of MAC lip products! This is a must have color in my makeup kit now.

In the several years that I have been reviewing fragrances, one of the most important skills I have honed is to be able to truly give a fragrance a chance to “live” on my skin. True, there are fragrances which open with a bang and impress me through and through. Then there are those which open up nicely enough, but the true essence of it can not be fully appreciated until several hours in. I felt 3121 is just such a scent. The fragrance notes in and of themselves are not unusual, (and will truly appeal to those who love gardenia/tuberose), but what sets this scent apart from other white flower-based scents (and some celebrity scents for that matter) is how truly sexy it is and how long the scent lingers. Prince fans may be a little surprised at the “tameness” of the bottle design itself, but I think the purple shade brings Prince’s legendary color to life. 3121 opens on fruity-citrusy floral notes, heavy on the jasmine, and for a few minutes it is both sweet and sharp. The dry down is softer, and while the florals are prominent, the lily of the valley and orange blossom stand out as well, especially in the early stages. The base is a subtle musky wood with a hint of earthiness, and it gets warmer and muskier the longer it is on skin. The lasting power is excellent, and with time the white florals eventually become rather subtle and the musk takes center stage. This perfume is absolutely intoxicating. It is a sexy fragrance...not overpowering. The fragrance lingers long through the day (and night)! The fragrance draws you in, and keeps you there…much like some of his most famous musical compositions (yes I am a fan!

It’s a very unique concept – It started out on my face as a gel, and as I massaged it in, it turned into an oil. The oil felt soft and smelled amazing (a lovely orange/tangerine scent), and took off every last trace of my makeup. When I added water to rinse it off, it changed yet again into a cleansing milk and came off easily, with no oily residue. I was left with a very smooth, soft, clean face. I never used anything like it. It's very pleasing to the senses. It smelled great, felt nice and left my face clean and soft, and hydrated! My skin did not feel stripped or dry, just a clean, smooth canvas at the end of the cleansing process. This cleanser contains Marula Oil, which is a "dry" oil, almost instantly absorbed by the skin. It felt so good to massage it onto my face that I looked forward to my very pleasant evening experience every night. There were even some evenings when I was so tired that I decided to skip moisturizer, and found that I really could! This is worth every penny, as it is truly a luxurious and effective product. And even better, the three-phase process allows you to pack fewer skin care products if you are crunched for space!
