It's not often that I rave about a nail polish remover, but it seems that time has come! Celebrity manicurist Bernadette Thompson has a line of nail colors and nail products under the Bernadette Thompson name. The star of the line, however, is this remover, Wipe Out. I have never used a nail polish remover which moisturizes and conditions my nails and cuticles SO well, and still manages to get every last trace of polish off in an instant! Wipe Out is a unique deep orange shade and has no horrible harsh smell (I still smelled chemicals, but it was an improvement over most removers). I was very impressed that it didn't dry out my nails and skin like many nail removers I've used in the past (even the ones which bill themselves as moisturizing!). It left made my cuticles soft and smooth and my nail beds were glossy and hydrated. This is a bi-phase formula and as per the instructions, I made sure to first shake it well to mix the moisturizing oils and the actual remover together. I have natural nails, but Bernadette was smart enough to create a formula which not only works amazingly well with natural nails, but also for artificial nails as well! If you think that all polish removers are the same, try Wipe Out and you will surely change you mind.

  • This is so easy to use and the color is great.

So you want a dark nail, but not necessarily blue and not all the way black. Here’s the answer! This is a beautiful, alluring, deep purple with blue accents (not purple-black) with a bit of a neon effect. The glitter is fun. It has touches of red, magenta and blue; and really makes this color stand out. The formula itself is on the thicker side, and smooth. It is more of a matte finish, so I had a glossy top coat applied which I really loved. It lasted nicely during the week with a touch of top coat every few days. However I did find that because of the glitter, it took a few more cotton balls than normal to completely remove. I found that by applying a thicker basecoat at the beginning of my manicure, it did make it a little easier to remove the glitter particles from my nail bed. The color itself will look especially wonderful on dark and very dark brown skins, but also for lighter skin tones that want a more dramatic look like I did. This is a lovely, unique color and I’m very happy with my first experience with China Glaze!

Every time I wore this, someone asks, "What color is that!" It’s clear polish packed with a ton of pale pink micro glitter. I love the glitzy pink of this nail polish! It is definitely a party look. To get the full effect, you really need more than one coat. When I applied two coats it made my nails look like sparkling jewels. Note: I found that a good topcoat kept it chip free for weeks on my toes, and about a week or so on my fingers. It’s absolutely with the price for such a pretty, unique color, and a very large bottle (mine lasted forever using it regularly). This also looked amazing on my toes. This will work on all skin tones and one coat also makes a nice twist on the French manicure nail too! Editor’s Note: Make sure you apply a basecoat on first. It makes it much easier to remove it.

It dried very quickly with almost no streaking as well. This polish covered my nails fairly well in the first coat, and the brush was just the right size/design. I also found that it lasted four to five days on me without chipping and stayed shiny, which for me that is quite remarkable - normally, most polishes chip on the very first day (I'm pretty hard on my nails). For packaging buffs these are absolutely adorable…with a splash of “faux” polish spilling out from underneath the cap! All for $1! Brilliant! The color is a cheery, fun, deep bubble gum shade of pink that is slightly metallic with some light shimmer – perfect for summer (and very accurately represented on the site). 2 coats really brought out the full potential of the color, but one coat was also a nice wash of pink as well. It also looked great on my toes. This will work best up to a Whitney Houston shade. Note: These nail polishes are toluene free, formaldehyde free, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP) free and hypoallergenic.

It’s named as such for the herb, horsetail which strengthens and repairs nails. During the winter my nails are always splitting and breaking, no matter what. After just a week of using this nail treatment (I could apply it over bare nails or nail color which was great), I noticed a real difference in the strength of my nails, and how shiny and healthy they always looked. By the end of the month my nails looked better than they ever had. Another great benefit of Horsepower was it kept my nail color from chipping but it didn’t clump up, dull or change the color on my polish. Butter London’s nail products are “3 Free Nail Products”, which means they do not contain harmful chemical products. There is no Formaldehyde, Toluene or DBP. Note: There is still a distinct nail polish smell, but I did notice that it diffused much quicker than the average nail polish. Note: This is a treatment that should be used every 7 days, removed and then reapplied. This should be done for one month, in a “one month on, one month off” fashion.
