113 dB Sonic Bomb Alarm Clock and Bed Shaker

113 dB Sonic Bomb Alarm Clock and Bed Shaker

You sat out in the sun too long and it drained your energy. You drank all afternoon. You ate way (and we mean "weigh") too much. That's what happens after a Father's Day Barbecue. Tired. Hungover. In a food coma until next Thursday. You won't be able to rely on your old standard alarm clock to get you out of bed all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed this week. The Sonic Bomb Alarm Clock not only stirs you from your slumber at a shocking 113 dB, but the vibrating attachment literally shakes you out of bed. Awaken, shaken AND stirred.

I live in Texas, where at 9:00 at night, its still 100 degrees! Ugh! And, to make matters worse, my bedroom is upstairs in a house that was designed by northerners who didn't realize that they would need to make adjustments to some of the designs (like very high vaulted ceilings with no circulation). So, needless to say, my bedroom is always hot, but if I had one of these, I might be much better off at night! Ok, enough of my ranting. Here's what the company has to say about this cooling mattress pad: ChiliPadTM technology uses water instead of air to generate a wide range of in-bed temperature adjustment. Similar to the semi-conductor technology that cools your computer, water passes by the chip and depending on the direction of electron flow the water is cooled or heated. The water flows through soft coils in the mattress pad actively adjusting the temperature of the surface. There is nothing but water flowing through the mattress pad; all temperature change happens in the control unit placed conveniently under the bed. Using advances in semiconductor technology the temperature can change from 46oF to 118oF, at a fraction of the cost of air-conditioning. The result is the effect of a cool or warm bed throughout a night's sleep. The motor is virtually silent (under 20 dBa) and has been designed to fit under a standard bed frame. It is controlled in one degree increments with a hand held remote. The benefits of a cooler night's sleep are medically proven to increase the amount of REM sleep during the night. This is a revolution in sleep!
