The Usual Suspects
Until I saw this movie, I thought that it would be hard to empathize with anyone who stole for fun and profit. But, then, I had never imagined a character so intractably evil and resonate of the devil as Keyser Söze. Who that character is remains a mystery until the bloody and bitter end. And the plot twist is truly the pièce de résistance of the film. And, of course, there is nothing "usual" about any of the suspects.

2003 was a great year for a great movie. 21 Grams was directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu and written by Guillermo Arriaga. The movie inter-weaved several plot lines around the consequences of a tragic automobile accident and made us focus on the true meaning of life and death, did you know that your soul weighs 21 Grams (Benny said so). Loved the film and loved meeting Noemi and Benny the bull!

I've been waiting for this for awhile now. I'll have to wait a little longer since this horror remake won't be coming out until November of 2009. Its stars Benecio Del Toro as the Wolfman.

In some varying degree, this film, actually, transports you into the mind of the dysfunctional gonzo journalist, Hunter S. Thompson. The role by Depp is beyond genius and obviously a byproduct of their close friendship. I think...
