CHANEL CRÈME GLOSS LUMIÈRE in Petit Four
This little lip color pen really does have it all -- it's a gorgeous, neutral pink with a hint of peach, milky and pigmented but very wearable. Petit Four is a pink leaning toward rose with a teensy bit of peach--no shimmer, no drama, but lovely. The texture is wonderful, it lasts amazingly long and it's pigmented, which was great when I was looking for a moisturizing lip color that I could actually see, and not just over lip liner. I can actually wear this without lip liner and it's very well defined. For those of you who may not be the biggest fans of the twist and polish lip pens (sometimes getting the exact amount of clicks to dispense the perfect amount of lip color can be a challenge), this CHANEL version the best of I've tried. This lip pen is also a real hybrid of creamy lipstick/gloss formula which was just faintly sticky, and had very comfortable wear (4+ hours) and great balance of subdued shine and full pigment. I've received several compliments since wearing this shade. This is simply a beautiful product to treat yourself to. This color will work best up to a Queen Latifiah shade.

Kanebo makes one of the best body care brands in the world. Why? Because their products combine great ingredients which really care for skin, feature a subtle yet still memorable fresh fragrance and create a “luxury” cleansing feeling. The relaxing body wash is a smooth, silky, pearlescent light mint green color (as is the actual packaging). With a gentle press on the bottle the concentrated wash came out and was so soft and refreshing on my skin. (The fragrance actually brought me back to a wonderful business trip I took to Tokyo a few years ago where I had a “feeding frenzy” trying amazing Japanese skin care products). It was the green tea and bamboo extract fragrance that took me back. It a really is a light, relaxing scent. I loved using this at the end of the day, especially after a hot, humid day, as this removed every trace of city dirt and grime, and left my skin soft and supple. If you have very dry skin, you will need a bit of lotion on key points like elbows, knees and legs, but otherwise, this provided a great amount of light moisture without feeling like there was any film or residue left on my skin. A pampering treat that every beauty lover should have in their body care collection!

I used this about 3x week before the body wash. After working all my critical spots (elbows, knees, feet, décolletage), and then rinsing, it left my skin smooth and super soft. The grains in the scrub are cushioned in a soft, fresh smelling gel/cream emulsion, which was very effective at exfoliating but not harsh on my skin at all. The tube itself is a fairly large size, and I used for several weeks and did not even get half way though it. The fragrance mimics that of the body wash, again a green tea infusion. Its lovely pale mint green packaging looks nice in the shower as well for all you packaging junkies out there too!

Many people say that if you have washed your face with one cleanser, then it’s pretty much the same as any other. I beg to differ. True, there have only been a handful of cleansers which have really made me sit up and take notice; making a noticeable difference in my skin and my cleansing experience, but now I can add the La Mer The Cleansing Foam to that list. With my first use, it earned a spot on my top cleansers list. It’s a powerful cleanser, while at the same time gentle and refreshing. As per the directions, I applied it over dampened skin. The foam has a silky texture and is pearly mint green. It smells very refreshing and uplifting. As soon as it is in contact with water, it started to dissolve and the color turns from green to white. It was very easy to leather up into foaming bubbles. After rinsing my skin, it was remarkably soft and supple. I loved the clean, crisp scent lingering on my face as well. Many foaming cleansers I've tried did a good job washing away dirt and makeup. However, I found they tended to dry out my face afterward, especially on the cheeks. This foam is so rich and gentle that leaves my face thoroughly cleansed, soft and clear without being dry, tight, or irritating. After three weeks of use, I found the little black/white heads on my nose also decreased gradually. La Mer The Cleansing Foam contains marine extracts, a combination of fine jade and white pearl powders, magnetized tourmaline, and their famous Deconstructed Waters. The exclusive combination of fine jade and white pearl powders is rich in amino acids to gently polish the skin for a bright complexion, which really made the difference. This is truly a stand out product - mostly due to its gentleness and moisturizing properties. After washing my face, I always kept touching it because it was so soft and yet toned at the same time! If you are wondering if these benefits are worth its luxury price, the answer is yes. As a matter of fact, because it’s so concentrated, a small amount is needed, so this can certainly work for a daily washing regimen.
