New Morning
i've always felt that this album was under-rated and altho it gets attention, i never feel like enough; it has some of Dylan's great songs on it, albeit the quieter ones and less obvious ones, they're still great. Songs like: If Not For You Time Passes Slowly Winterlude Time Passes Slowly Sign on the Window and let's not forget the belted out and incredibly sexy One More Weekend, which has to be among the best for what it is.... New Morning is a great record. Not my favorite Dylan, but certainly one worth buying (well, i have everything, but if you do not, i would get this)....

Together Through Life, produced by Jack Frost, was prompted by the composition of a new song, “Life Is Hard,” which was written for a film by French director Oliver Dahan (La Vie En Rose). Bob Dylan’s latest studio album was recorded late last year and features 10 new songs including “Beyond Here Lies Nothin’” and “It’s All Good.” This will be the 46th release from Dylan, following his Platinum album Modern Times which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart in 2006.

This song makes me think of death. Not in a freaked out, morbid kind of way, but in a "however the wind blows, big beautiful existential sigh of resignation" kind of way. Good song.

One of the best soundtracks of the year, in my opinion. Tons of great artists covering their favorite Dylan tracks. Standouts include Karen O (from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs) doing "Highway 61" and Cat Power singing "Stuck Inside Of M... One of the best soundtracks of the year, in my opinion. It's an indie all-star cast of singers, capped with the man himself singing "I'm Not There". (P.S. be sure to buy the iTunes version. It's $2 cheaper than amazon and comes with 3 extra songs)
