Bounty bars were available in the states a while back but they competed with Almond Joy and Mounds. You can still find them in international supermarkets, especially those specializing in Brit fare. At first glance Bounty and Mounds seem to be the same: chocolate covered coconut. The Bounty bar is superior because its chocolate is richer and more creamy and the coconut is more moist and When tasted side by side, the Mounds bar is dry and lacks sophistication. Bounty's chocolate shell and coconut filling is richer and creamier. The two flavors contrast better because the darker chocolate. Of course I still love my Almond Joy / Mounds but I prefer Bounty any day!
