Made from Japanese cypress wood "hinoki", it's anti bacterial and doesn't stay soggy when wet. Not to mention it smells good. Reasons for me not to get a regular mat again.

I like this simply designed teak wood trivet. I'm more inclined to display older, ornate trivets on my wall. This one I'd actually use on the tabletop.
