Brad Wolfe and the Moon - Self-Titled LP

Brad Wolfe and the Moon - Self-Titled LP

With his debut LP, Brad Wolfe and the Moon have released a gem that deserves to be heard. A portion of the profits from CD (and other merchandise) sales also goes to the Sunbeam Foundation. The Sunbeam Foundation promotes awareness and raises funds to advance research and the treatment of bone cancers that affect children and young adults. This is truly good music for a good cause. Some tracks to look out for are "Caroline," which is a sweet and poppy number that belongs on Top 40 radio, and "Knock Knock," which has a smooth, Latin groove. Brad's got a unique voice and lyrics that are catchy. The music has mainstream appeal, but these songs recall the era of folk and soul, too, garnering comparisons that range from John Mayer and the Dave Matthews Band to Paul Simon and Cat Stevens. This CD is not to be missed!

My favorite movie ever. From the opening scene, the soundtrack is perfect, you watch as Harold prepares and then hangs himself. This is one of several brilliant scenes where he fakes his own suicides desperately trying to get the attention of his rich mother. Enter Maude, an eccentric old woman he meets at a funeral. It's a love story. A love story with life.

  • One of Cat Stevens' best. Such soothing sounds! I love this man's voice. I also miss him calling himself Cat Stevens.

When the sticker on the CD is a quote from Tom Waits saying that listening to this album is a bit like running through a forest, you kinda have to get it just to find out what in the heck that means! I'm still not sure, but I do know that it's a really great little record. Intelligentactile 101 is my favorite track. Popy and freaking weird.
