Yup! That's where we are: 13 degrees north. Anyway, Kite is Barbados' hottest rock band. Their fusion of rock and reggae is incredible. This is one of the best Guitar CD's I have heard in a long time. A friend turned me onto this and I love it. It seems like playing an instrument is a lost art form…but this guy can play!

If you're not swooning over her voice yet, you're late. Sure, her songs tend toward the depressing, but they're great. I just saw her live last night, and she is even better stripped down, with just her clear melodic voice flyin... If you're not swooning over her voice yet, you're late. I just saw her live last night, and she is even better stripped down, with just her clear melodic voice flying out over the crowd (plus a ukulele and guitar or piano). Not only does she sing like a nightingale, but she's adorable as all get out and even acts as a bit of a stand up comic. I want her to be my best friend. Seriously. If you like even one of her songs and see she's performing in your area, get your tickets now. She'll be huge soon and you can say you got to see her perform for a crowd of 100 or whatever. And who doesn't like knowing about things first? You're in for a super treat if you see her with Greg Laswell (the clown in her "The Way I Am" video, who is very talented himself). Again, he is even better when there is minimal back up to hide his sexy crooning and haunting (and yes, depressing, again) song writing. Can you tell I'm smitten?

This is one of my favorite albums I have purchased in a long time...and I buy allot of albums. Singer/songwriter pop with deft keyboards and piano mixed with percussion and dreamily heartbreaking vocals and lyrics.

Folky, pop-y, and cheerful! Saw this band at Iota in Arlington, VA while enjoying Harpoon IPA this month and last summer (when they were still Cecelia).
