Elderflower Presse

Elderflower Presse

Along with Lush bath products, this is something I became addicted to in England. Elderflower presse is light, refreshing and yummy.

Cruising down the drugstore's (anyone noticing a pattern here?) refrigerated aisle, I noticed a few small cans neatly hidden on the bottom shelf. Had they been accidently rerouted from their original, haute cuisine destination? I decided to seize the moment and buy a can. I should've bought more than one. Aranciata uses sparkling San Pellegrino water and mixes it with 12% pure orange juice. It's lightly carbonated, like the water. It's orange soda for those who normally hate it - lightly sweet, soft on the palate and completely natural (no colorings or chemicals). An entire can has 160 calories, so it's not a 'health' drink, but it's very refreshing and a nice break from standard carbonated sodas. You may be able to find them in your local grocery, but if not, order online. You can buy by the can or by the case. There is also a well received 'Limonada' version I haven't had a chance to try yet.

  • I love this drink. It tastes like a more natural version of Fresca.
