The Classic Hamboard

The Classic Hamboard

As an avid longboard skateboarder along the streets of South Beach Miami, I was recently introduced to a family of Huntington Beach surfers who wanted to bring their love of surfing to the streets. Enter the Hamboard. The Hamboard is almost 7 feet long and 15 inches wide designed to mimic the true feel of surfing that turns with great fluidity and is forgiving to all levels of enthusiasts. One of few boards to use 18-ply wood, it is capable of supporting weights in the range of 250 lbs. That may not be you, but the limited flex and carving trucks mean you're less likely to catch your wheels biting the underside of the board when turning and throw you to the ground. So whether you're practicing power carves into the pavement or trying to avoid a near miss with a car or pedestrian this board gives you amazing control. At $395, this high quality skateboard has a one-of-a-kind glossy grippy surface (no griptape required or shoes) and is available in a variety of hand painted Classic Surf color patterns. Mimicking surfing it also helps build the necessary muscles and balance required for the similar moves out on the ocean. This is an all around unique find and a great workout on those low surf days.
