The burner is supposed to produce 5,000 BTUs. It also has a push-button, piezoelectric igniter and exceeded Coleman's claim that it would run 4 hours on a 1-pound propane bottle at normal cooking levels. The grate is coated with porcelain, the griddle with nonstick and the grill with nickel, which makes cleaning them easier. In addition, all of the cooking surfaces and the drip pan can be removed and put in a dishwasher. At nearly 14 pounds it's too heavy for backpackers, but it's great for car camping or carrying in a kayak or small boat. Two or three propane bottles will supply all the fuel needed for a long-weekend camping or kayak trip, and the unit comes with a nifty carrying case. $90

Air mattresses are great to have if you run out of room for guests on beds or couches, and of course, for camping. The built in alarm clock is nice, but the MP3 speakers seems a little crazy. Just because you're going to Burning Man doesn't mean you have to eat nonperishable food all week (contrary to what my friends told me). Dry Ice will last at least 3 days, and then you can supplement with ice from center camp. Trust me, by Day 3 a roast beef sandwich was like a gift from the heavens. And a cold beer? Spoil yourself!

They are really easy to use (just need a propane tank and a match) and before you know it you can be cooking eggs and veggie sausage for the camp for breakfast. And be everyone's favorite person. Make sure it has a lid on it, as this one does. Otherwise it will be covered in dust by the time you pack up to leave!

I've been using the regular 2-mantle lantern for over a decade so it took me some time to get used to the simplicity of this model (and the new tube-shaped mantle design) but after spending some time with it, I'm in love. Easier to use and brighter than the 2-mantle design, this one is a great improvement over a classic design that manages to keep all the things you love about Coleman lanterns while being a significant improvement.

You can call it a magic towel... I prefer Wonder Towel! It zaps up moisture is extremely compact and dries quickly... I "wonder" why I don't use this for all my towel needs?
