Ok I really needed this when I was in school. I had all the cliche scary roommates: Klepto, foreigner, weight obsessed, food stealer - you name it. Perhaps this book would have shed some light on those situations and added some laughs. Although looking back now that was all pretty hilarious. A great gift for anyone going to school.

This book should be mandatory reading for your college aged children. My son told me that the information in this book kept him out of trouble in college, which enabled him to excel.

I know so many college kids who don't eat much meat in college, not necessarily for ethical reasons but more because cafeteria meat can often be sketchy and gross, and this cookbook would be a great help. I've been out of undergraduate a few years, but I have a host of little "cousins" (blood and friends) that are getting ready to start college soon (or just started). I think a book like this would be wonderful for them to read. ... When I was 6 or so I dreamed of sleeping in a hammock suspended between trees and surrounded by fragrant flowers.. in my room. That idea still sounds pretty cool (well maybe not the hammock part) and now I've got the know-how and no one to shake their finger and tell me no (to be fair my parents weren't finger shakers and may not have said no if I had asked). The RISD students featured here are doing it up large- this book will be a perfect inspiration. Oh- and Amy Sedaris writes the intro :D.

Yes, it sounds Polly Positive of me, but it helped me out. And plus, reading all those cheesy and over-exaggerated journal entries years later is sure to supply some quality entertainment.
