I could have used this during the New York blackout.

It was fabulous for learning the basics of archery, with a low 20-30lb draw weight that was pretty easy for a reasonably athletic person to pull. Less achy arms and more trying to get that whole 'aiming' thing to work out. It's very basic, but that means there's nothing fancy to break. I killed a lot of beer cans from the back of my friend's porch with one of these back in college. Good times :D

I bought one of these on Ebay without all the extra do-hickeys and it's wonderful. It's lightweight, really powerful and also surprisingly adjustable for those of us gals who haven't turned into She-Ra, Princess of Power yet. The nice folks at Rancho Park Archery Range re-tweaked it to be 35-40 pound draw instead of 65-85. From an aesthetic standpoint, I wanted a simple, no-frills version of the for-rank-beginners compound that I used to practice with and this is it, except...it is freaking gorgeous to boot. I prefer to keep it basic, but if you want to turn it into an accessory-fest all the slots and mounts are there. I seriously love this thing.

It couldn't have been made possible without this tool.

Compound exercises allow you to lift heavier weights and work more muscle groups at the same time than isolation exercises. This saves you precious time in the gym while stimulating the maximum amount of muscle fibers. In addition, compound exercises, due to the increased amount of muscle used for the movements, are better at sending your endocrine system a "distress call" to pump out more anabolic hormones such as testosterone and growth hormone.
