Felicity harvests her own bulrushes from the Great Ouse River. I didnt know this however, British fresh water rushes are softer, slimmer and more vivid in colour than rushes grown elsewhere... helps explain why her mats are so vivid in colour and variation. the rushes grow back within two years of harvesting - environmentally kind! I love using my mats...so beautiful and functional and best of all made by hand!
