Entwine Tall Goblets

Entwine Tall Goblets

I adore the sinuous shape of these hand forged sterling silver goblets. They are gilt inside, which is a bit hard to see in the photo. They are made by a young designer/silversmith in London, Emma-Kate Francis. Keep an eye out for her, because I think she's going to make it big. Here's what she has to say about herself: I graduated in 2002 with an MA in Silversmithing from the Royal College of Art, London. Entertaining is a key influence for my work, whether it is an intimate affair or an elaborate dinner. My aim is that my work becomes a focal point to a dining table or a mantelpiece and that it sparks off comment.

Cool container with a German name that translates "fold holder." Here's what the designer has to say about this funky creation: Description i created the faltehalter technique coincidentally when in london, now it is handmade by me in berlin and made from paper mostly from florence. every faltehalter is a unique folding object and can be used as a holder for pens, jewellery, cosmetics, chopsticks, shells and other items. faltehalter has a very strong and stable structure and for transport or storage it can be folded flat.
