I'm a bit dissapointed that the film adaptation of this disturbing book changed the lead character from a man to a woman. Which makes me imagine that the changed a lot of other things as well. Its the story of a man who has retained his sight in a world paralyzed by blindness. This doesn't necessarily turn out to his advantage as he's the only one witnessing the mad, desperate horror of the depths humanity will plunge in a time of crisis.

This is a REALLY good movie...... one problem. Its depressing. And I don't mean make you cry depressing. I mean existential, sleep for 24 hours, apathetic depression.
