CIBO Naturals Pestos

CIBO Naturals Pestos

CIBO Naturals pestos are super-tasty and made from healthy ingredients. Truth be told, I eat these pestos more as dips than as sauces for pasta. They taste great w/raw baby carrots or Finn Rye Crisps. If you like sardines (which I know are not for everyone, these pestos are a great compliment to them as well.) Personally, I like the Classic Basil and Sun Dried Tomato Pestos the best. Both pestos are made w/olive oil (a key anti-inflammatory/anti-oxidant) and walnuts (which are the king of super healthy nuts) I think these pestos make a great snack because if you dip a few crisps or carrots into them, you get filled up pretty quickly from all the oil/fat in them, but it is all healthy ingredients and you will probably eat less than if you nosh on more empty calorie but low fat stuff like potato chips

My favorite is this basil-infused olive oil from O&Co. It makes salads lovely. Just 1-2 teaspoons and who needs dressing?

I know that true gourmets say white truffles are the superior/more refined truffle but i personally prefer black truffles. And Goccia makes a great black truffle oil. Strong and nuanced, this stuff is great on a sliced heirloom tomato w/crumbled feta, salt & pepper. Also amazing on scrambled eggs or even on fish. Highly recommended but remember, truffle oil is for dipping, not cooking. Apply it after you have done the cooking. Also, the olive oil is a great anti-inflammatory so it can help you live longer
