Brave Space Design's Coat Range

Brave Space Design's Coat Range

Not only would this Mountain Coat Range from Brave Space be a favorite of Bob Ross, John Denver and Grizzly Adams it would also be the grand focal point in the teeny tiny apartment of Ali from Design Public. Living in the bay area is great, no doubt, but I do miss the majestic Rocky Mountains after living in Colorado for so many years. Although the mountain peaks are intended to symbolize the Grand Tetons, I can see my good ol’ Rockies in the rack. If only we had to wear lots of coats, mittens, hats and scarves in California.

Emeco’s “Nine-0” chairs are a classic reborn by a classic designer. There is something to be said for having a chair in your home that was originally built for WWII submarines but recently redesigned with a contemporary flair. There is also something to be said for a chair with such history to be the last design of a distinguished designer prior to his passing. If you are curious to learn more about the life and times of Italian designer Ettore Sottsass, I’d highly suggest taking a peek at the video by Emeco Cinema.

The green wave is not always an easy thing to catch hold of when we are surrounded by so many consumer goods that are not sustainable, but InModern does a mighty fine job of helping folks join the momentum. (Whoa, that was a pretty heavy surfing analogy. I apologize!). Case in point: the Surfin Side/End Table. The table is simple, it is smart with regards to style and design, and it is so sustainable it practically defines the word.
