But you have to open it to see just HOW cute. Oh. My. God. I've seen a lot of these all-in-one sets and this? By far one of the best ever. First of all, the author's credentials set it apart. Mia Bauer is the lady behind the incredibly successful chain of Crumbs bakeshops- those of you lucky enough to live in L.A., New York or Jersey may be familiar with her delicious creations.... like the FlutterNutter Cupcake- vanilla spongecake with marshmallow buttercream filling, frosted with vanilla buttercream that's mixed with real peanut butter and THEN drizzled with white chocolate and edged with white sprinkles Um... yeah. YUM. So I was so excited to find this kit for kids in a local bookstore. Mia has created an adorable character named Lolly LaCrumb and written a book detailing her many wild adventures. Even better, the book comes complete with wipeable recipe cards that provide easy-to-follow instructions, stencils for decorating (hold the character-inspired designs over your cupcake and sprinkle your topping of choice), kid-friendly measuring tools... oh and so much more. I just can't say enough about it so I'll stop before I try to. Perfect birthday or holiday gift for the little girl in your life- or for yourself. Really, the cover doesn't do it justice. SO much cuter in person!

Think gelatin, not jam. And ignore how awful this sounds and just try it- mix a packet of this with chopped beets and let it set. I know what you're thinking but I swear to God it's delicious....

OH, HOW i adore this cookbook. it is beautifully done, organized, and features photos that make my mouth water while looking at them. i am not too fond of the cover of this book, however, as it does no justice whatsoever to what you'll find inside - so if you see this on the shelves..OPEN it.. you will see its glory! fabulous. a must-have for every mom. it offers well-conceived creative ways to incorporate healthy ingredients into recipes. they'll never know ;) [i may add - while these recipes are geared towards being kid-friendly.. they are still sophisticated and lovely for any palate. i am giving a copy to a friend who cannot get her husband to eat vegetables.. ha!]

I love my Emile Henry mixing bowls. They're heavy and sturdy. I use the small bowl to make guacamole. You can also put them in the oven to heat ingredients.
