I've been seeing reports that essential oils kill microorganisms. What are microorganisms? They can range from the yeast that cause athlete's foot to MRSA (staph infection that "eats" the skin - 3 of my relatives went into hospital for this). I've come across a couple scientific studies that used clove and rosemary and they both killed (either immediately or over time) the microbes, but I would be curious to read more. Anyhoo...this apparatus (not paraphernalia) is supposed to be a supremely quality device in diffusing the oils. Plastic parts can contaminate the oil, so this has none! It is stressed that high quality oils are a must, not the ones at the dollar store. I've NEVER used Lysol and never will. It pollutes indoor air and slowly deadens sense of smell, this is may be at the top of my list.
