Clubman Country Club Shampoo Enriched with Panthenol

Clubman Country Club Shampoo Enriched with Panthenol

This shampoo looks like it’s made for A Man. A Man who buys seven of the exact same shirts so that he doesn’t have to bother with laundry. A Man who will muscle open jars, paint your living room and kill icky crawly things. A Man who wants to look and smell good, without being all frou-frou about it. What He Said: The jumbo-size bottle and decidedly dude-friendly design gives Clubman’s Country Club shampoo “that old school man’s man cache,” according to our lathered-up male specimen. He said he didn’t notice any particularly noteworthy effects, though he was slightly creeped out by the consistency, which was “a little too viscous.” He said it was “just a standard shampoo,” but “not a product I would race out to buy unless I was nostalgic for something my grandfather would use.”

Sure, there are standout here and there, but Degree is tops. Silver Ion is a new collection and it's pretty cool. In addition to the regular anti-perspirant chemical, there's silver in there too. Silver kills bacteria and the smelly compounds they produce. The best part is the stick itself - it's clear, but not a gel. It's not a crumbling white stick either. It's like a cool hybrid gel-stick, which goes on clear and dries in seconds. No 'wet' feeling or stained clothes. It's slightly cooling on contact too. It's really perfect! I only tried the 'Arctic Edge' scent, which I like. It's similar to their 'Cool Rush' scent but a little sweeter. It's enough to make you smell nice without coming off like cologne. And it lasts a full 24 hours. I plan to check out the other scents, but for now, this is my day-to-day deo. (For those with minds like mine, Degree is produced by Unilever. Unilever owns lots of brands, including Axe. I think they take Axe and tone down the frat-boy marketing as well as the overpowering scents, and call that Degree. It even has the same shape with the full-bottom twist dispenser. So it's kinda similar to an axe scent's essence, but so, so much better and more refined. And yes, it is officially very, very sad that I thought so much, and written so far, about a stick of deodorant.)

  • Great for skin that's prone to irritation. Definitely a main staple in my medicine cabinet. It's non comedogenic and fragrance-free, too.

The wild juniper extract acts as a natural antiseptic and oil control product; not to mention its refreshing scent. The cream also contains shea butter and natural glycerine for a moisturizing, hydrating shave. Made in Provence, France. Would make a nice Fathers Day gift.

If you've used a Norelco before, you will be satisfied with this. Norelco's biggest innovation has been the 3 concentric rings in each shaving foil circle. This provides much more surface area for cutting, so you can get the job done with less strokes and less irritation. The Arcitec line is cool looking (carbon fiber sides...nice) and has an optional self-cleaning and charging base station. The new, flat position of the shaving foils is supplemented by a flexible neck; this is certainly the most contour-hugging electric shaver available. The only con of this new line is the lack of a compartment to catch the cut hair; you will need to shave over a sink. Other than that it's a great shaver and great gift for the man in your life. I would buy it myself but I'm trying to control my electric personal grooming gadgets fetish :)

  • I get mine from Whole Foods. I use this after showering to seal in the moisture. Its very light and does a great job of moisturizing my body.
