One thing is for sure ... if you head to Burning Man, you're going to see the sun. A lot of it. Chances are even great that you'll be running around naked in it at some point. So why not protect those bits and pieces that don't see the sun that often? Bullfrog does the trick with this sunscreen. First, it's gel, not lotion, which makes it easier to apply. Growing up, my mother always slathered herself in Hawaiian Tropic's Tanning Oil - it smells of summer to me - however, there is no way I can slather myself in tanning oil with no SPF - so this is a good compromise!

It was not greasy, and didn’t flake or ball up in the heat. I also found it very moisturizing for my drier areas of my face and small lines around my eyes, and even my legs and elbows. The tone and texture of my skin was fantastic after using this daily! I used this successfully on both my face and my body and I did not experience any irritation or break outs. For the face, it does leave a sheen however, so if you want a more matte look, then it will be necessary to blot it and then apply a little pressed or loose powder over it. I usually wore this during a recent vacation without much other makeup and didn’t mind the sheen. I also liked that the Sunblock didn’t leave a sticky or grayish cast to my skin (which I hate!). It was definitely water resistant, but after going in and out of the water several times I did reapply as most experts say is necessary. However, when I was home and used it for everyday wear I found that even through very hot days it stayed put and was effective. A little goes a long way with this product which also makes it a great buy.

For general everyday type SPF protection, I really like this Lubriderm UV lotion. I was so happy that I could use it all over my body and it didn’t leave a greasy feeling on my skin! Unlike many sunscreens, it’s has a light, fresh scent that fades 10-15 minutes after putting it on (which I found pleasant)...very fresh smelling and not sticky. I’m pretty religious about wearing sunscreen, especially when I know I'll be outside for extended periods of time. But, on most days I tend not to use sunscreen with SPF 45+. I found this to be a great substitute using this lotion on as my regular lotion in the morning after my shower or after a gym work out. I felt good that when I was out during the day, I knew I had at least a basic SPF on. I now keep one in a few places in the house so that I can always reapply as necessary, and put some on my kids as well to protect their skin!

In particular I saw a significant decrease in the lines around my mouth and eyes. The other benefits of using the Skin Genesis were much more even-toned and soft skin. The texture is smooth, light and silky and the smell is very pleasant. I also love that I got SPF protection without any sticky or filmy feel, which can sometimes happen in products with SPF in them. My skin was moisturized all day and I didn’t experience any breakouts. I would love to have this lotion for use in the summer months with a much higher SPF – perhaps it’s in the works!” G.L. Note: This moisturizer worked best with normal to dry skins. Those of you with VERY dry skin may not get enough moisture with this product.
