Carol's Daughter Tui Herbal Shampoo

Carol's Daughter Tui Herbal Shampoo

This shampoo smells delightful, and the scent lasts all day in my hair. It smells a bit like beer or tea, with some tropical scents (guava, passion fruit, and mango) thrown in. Note: It's not a high lathering shampoo due to the all natural properties. The consistency is on the thin side so I would have love to have had a thin spout on the bottle for better application. Since using this product, my hair looks healthy, fresher and has a nice sheen naturally when it dries.

The new Tunu line is meant to smooth the hair while giving it a soft, flexible bounce. It blends Tunu, crambe seed oil, and Swa oil extract to help smooth and add a soft, flexible bounce to unruly, coarse, or curly hair without chemical action. For those of you who are looking for hair care that smoothes without silicone, this is perfect. Because it is silicone free, I found that there was absolutely no build up that occurred while testing the product the cleanser/conditioner. First, I shook up the cleanser first as per the directions and then applied. The texture of the cleanser is very thin (and is a LOW sudsing product) but is quite concentrated, so I found that just a Silver Dollar's worth was enough for my shoulder length and med/thick hair. I applied and then as per the directions left it in for a few minutes and then rinsed. Next up was the conditioner. The conditioner is also very lightweight and has a thin texture closer to a lotion than a typical conditioner creamy consistency. The conditioner sank in quickly and felt light to the touch. I left it on for about 3 minutes. After rinsing, I simply patted my hair with a towel and ran a large tooth comb through the ends. I let my hair air dry and was really happy to see that when it fully dried, my waves/curls were super soft, defined and felt light but very hydrated. My hair was completely smooth all day with NO frizz. The keys to using this the conditioner are: 1. Do NOT over apply it. 2. Preferably let your hair air dry. 3. Not take any tangles that might appear upon rinsing as an indication that the product has left gummy patches in your hair. Once hair is dry your curls will be defined and there will not by any hair "stuck together". After using this treatment of cleanser and conditioner several times a week I was really happy with the way my hair was super soft and shiny, my curls/waves were nicely defined and, yes, bouncy!

I cannot believe I hadn't found this before, especially since it's native to the UK. This company makes only hair products and entirely an organic range -- as the name suggests -- Modern Organic Products. I use their Glisten range (which is great for giving a shine to my hair which is hard to come by since I have curly hair) and their C-System range, which divides into products for straight hair and curly hair. Their products range from shampoos, conditioners, leave-in conditioners, detanglers, UV protectors and glosses, amongst many others. It is also really reasonably priced -- one of the many reasons I have switched. This may not help American buyers but for those of you in the UK -- a real must.

It’s been a long time since I’ve fallen in love with a shampoo, but that time has come. This cleanser/shampoo on its own, even before applying conditioner, left my hair super moisturized -- the results were heavenly! My hair has never been so silky, smooth and manageable. I immediately noticed that this is a low lathering shampoo. Some people may need to get used to this, but my hair was definitely clean after washing, so the suds don’t make the difference! I used once a week and I got fantastic results whether I air dried or blow dried. My ends, which are usually still a bit dry after rinsing shampoo out, were nice a smooth. It should also be noted that it is a fairly heavily perfumed product, but it’s not cloying. This is worth every penny for those of you looking for a fantastic (and natural!) hair cleanser. This also doubles as a moisturizing body cleanser as well

I have super thick hair, very dry and almost turns into a bail of hay overnight! I have literally tried every hair product on the market would hate to say how much money I have wasted over the years. I seen this guy on QVC and thought "ahh what the heck" and I bought some. After the first shampoo you will see a HUGE difference and within a week, you'll have a new head of hair. And his hairspray....ahhh the hairspray...It's not sticky or goopy and it WILL NOT leave buildup and it gives you awesome hold. I'm telling you try it and you'll be as in love with Nick as I am.... Oh and I almost forgot, NO ANIMAL TESTING! Andrea :o)
